    Hello!

    Hello! We're The Rats in a Trenchcoat system. We have DID and we are traumagenic and use the term protogenic for personal reasons. We currently have no plans to integrate, as we feel quite comfortable as a system, and we can function well together as we are. However, some of us have integrated in the past, and that has been part of our healing process.

    This wiki is a safe space for us where we come to hang out and work on pages. Formerly, we were sysops, however we resigned due to our mental health, and are now content mods.

    If you'd like to talk, you can message us on our message wall. We're open to conversation however we do struggle with refreshing our message wall and having full on conversations so we apologize if our conversations are not the longest or most in depth!

    Boundaries

    • Do not ask us about our triggers unless we explicitly say it is okay. We are formed exclusively from trauma, and discussion of our triggers can cause flashbacks, panic attacks, and dissociation.
    • Do not interact with us if you are currently age regressed, or are a system little, particularly if you use "baby talk" (ex: speaking wike dis). We aren't against you, but childlike behaviors can be triggering for us in some cases, and we'd prefer not to interact with someone at the mental age of a child.
    • Use the term "headmate" for us instead of "alter". While we may reclaim the term alter and use it for ourselves, we are not comfortable with other people calling us "alters" and would prefer others call us headmates.
    • Never act sexual towards us if we are not partners, and even then, do not act sexual if we haven't said it's okay, especially when other people are around.
    • Do not mention the user NyxIsSus around us at all. They were extremely harmful to our mental health. We do not state our triggers online, however Nyx did heavily trigger us with their actions, and by proxy became a trigger themself. Minimal mentions of them are okay, but we'd prefer no mentions at all.
    • Do not ask us about our medical history and/or diagnosis status for anything. We do not share our DX status online as we feel that it is private information that people should not be entitled to knowing.
