Aponian is a diamoric orientation for genderless, agenrine and/or agiaspec people who are attracted (exclusively or not) to other genderless people. This term can be used by anyone on the genderless spectrum (eg. demiagender, agender woman/man, some bigender and genderfluid people, genderflux, etc), as long as one is agenrine and/or agiaspec. This is an umbrella term encompassing all orientations that include genderless people's attraction to other genderless people.

History
The term was coined by Tumblr user Queerness-Lover (Fandom user IIAprionII) on July 7, 2021.[1] Many of the orientations for agender/genderless people were coined by Fandom user Reign of the breadsticcs.[2] The neutrois and gendervoid orientations were coined by Tumblr user Queerness-Lover on July 23, 2021.[3]
Flags
The aponian flag was created by Tumblr user Queerness-Lover on July 9, 2021.[4] The gray represents the genderless part of the term. It appears to mimic the diamoric flag.
The user also created an alternate flag, which was created alongside the original coining on July 7, 2021. The green cross matches the green stripes in the agenrine, agender, and agiaspec flags. The other colors were taken from the gendervoid and other flags.
Etymology
The suffix "apon" comes from the Greek word "apón" meaning "absent", due to the absence of gender.
