Agenant, also known as agender loving agender (AGLAG), is a juvelic term describing the attraction to agender or agia-spec individuals to other agender or agia/spec individuals. It may be considered a gai orientation and falls under the agenamoric and aponian umbrellas. It is an alternative to agender individuals using the term gay, which generally implies the existence of gender.
The exclusive counterpart is gaesexual. A similar term that includes other genderless individuals and excludes agia-spec people is delphinian.
History
The term was coined by Tumblr user mourningmogaicrew on May 19, 2021,[1] to celebrate agender pride day and to stop the user's friends from arguing. The flag was created by the same user on the same day.
Flag
The agenant flag has black, gray, and green stripes to represent the agender spectrum. The blue stripes represent being queer.
Etymology
The term comes from “agender” and the suffix “-ant” meaning inclined to(wards). An agenant person is agender and inclined towards other agender people.
