    Aponian is a diamoric orientation for genderless, agenrine and/or agiaspec individuals who are attracted (exclusively or not) to other genderless individuals. This term can be used by anyone on the genderless spectrum (eg. demiagender, agender woman/man, some bigender and genderfluid individuals, genderflux, etc), as long as one is agenrine and/or agiaspec. This is an umbrella term encompassing all orientations that include genderless Individuals's attraction to other genderless individuals.

    Aponian is the genderless counterpart to sapphic, achillean, enbian, and xyric. The agender counterpart to aponian is agenamoric. Aponian is the diamoric term for all genderless individuals whereas agenamoric was made specifically with agender individuals in mind.     The term was coined by Tumblr user Queerness-Lover (Fandom user IIAprionII) on July 7, 2021.[1] Many of the orientations for agender/genderless individuals were coined by Fandom user Reign of the breadsticcs.[2] The neutrois and gendervoid orientations (excluding trenchic) were coined by Tumblr user Queerness-Lover on July 23, 2021.[3]

    The user also created an alternate flag, which was created alongside the original coining on July 7, 2021. The green cross matches the green stripes in the agenrine, agender, and agiaspec flags. The other colors were taken from the gendervoid and other flags.
