The Sylvian System is a gender alignment system for genders that are related to forests, or forests + a specific aspect(s) of forests. Genders in The Sylvian System are related to forests and their aesthetics, which include mystery, peace, intense nature, cottages, trees, and the way light shines almost magically in forests, among others. They may also be related to specific aspects of forests, but they're also strongly connected to nature as a whole, which separates nadurian genders from other floragenders in that they are not just related to one aspect of nature, but to all aspects of nature, and sometimes with a focus on one or more specific aspects of nature.
The Sylvian System is one of the four systems that form The Nature Systems, and it consists of both general, aligned forest-related genders as well as genders related to both forests and a specific aspect of nature/forests. Each gender in The Sylvian System can be used as a gender on its own or as a modifier for another gender in the system. For example, someone who is feminine-aligned and relates their gender to nature and specifically pine forests could use the sylvian terms mistian (fiaspec sylvian gender) and ipinean (sylvian gender related to pine forests) to form "mistic ipinean" to describe their gender experience.
It's important to note the specific nature of this system. Forests have aesthetics all on their own, but they're also associated with being intense, complete experiences of nature- like the aesthetics and joy of nature, but amplified and seemingly unending, and that intensity is the defining factor of genders in The Sylvian System. They aren't just related to the aesthetics of forests, but of a feeling of such deep, pure, resonating, and almost inexplicable connection to nature that they feel as if it almost is their gender and who they are. Someone who is sylvian may feel varying levels of that intensity, but it is the defining factor of genders in the Sylvian System: an intense, pure, and soul-binding connection to nature, so even if someone felt their gender was related to the aesthetics of forests, they wouldn't be sylvian if they didn't feel their gender also resonated with the deeper aesthetics of nature and would instead relate with genders from the Nadurian System that are just related to forests but not the intense gender experience of the Sylvian System.

Combination Identities
Since there is such a large amount of possible alignment combinations, there aren't specifically separate terms for identities with three or more alignments; instead, extant terms can be combined to create an identity. For example, if someone in the Sylvian system is fiaspec, niaspec, and xiaspec, they could combine mistian(fiaspec sylvian gender) and lehinian (niaspec + xiaspec sylvian gender) to get something like mistilehinian to describe their gender identity.
History
All of the terms for the Sylvian System were coined by FANDOM user Reign of the queerios around mid-February of 2021, and the flags were coined by the same user a little later on in the month.
