    Secondary Sex Agenesis is an umbrella term for conditions that are related to ones secondary sex traits not growing or forming as expected, due to being intersex. This term is not an official medical term, however it was coined to fill in a linguistic gap to describe information on intersex people.

    It is important to note that these conditions alone are not what makes someone intersex; however, when they are partnered with horomonal, chromosomal, or genital abnormalities, they do become intersex in nature.

    Some intersex conditions these may be partnered with include agenital, gonadal agenesis, and gonadal dysgenesis.

    Pediatric Breast Hypoplasia

    Pediatric Breast Hypoplasia is a state when one does not develop one or both breasts, or develop breasts that are smaller than usual. This can effect both CTM and CTF people alike, however it is more common amongst CTF individuals, especially when it comes to intersex conditions. One with this condition may or may not have underdeveloped or absent ribs as well.

    Amastia is the term used for when one is born entirely without breasts. They may have nipples (just on their flat chest) or they may have no nipples as well.

    These are not an intersex-exclusive conditions, however some intersex conditions these may occur from are listed below:

    Athelia

    Athelia is a state when one does not develop one or both nipples/areola. They may also have one missing breast, however this is not always the case. This condition can effect both CTM and CTF individuals, and effects about 1 in every 20,000 newborns. It has been observed that this condition is more common in AMAB individuals than AFAB individuals.

    Hypoplastic Nipples is when one develops nipples that are smaller than usual or nipples that are close to (but not entirely) absent.

    These are not an intersex-exclusive conditions, however some intersex conditions these may occur from are listed below:

    • Ablepharon Macrostomia Syndrome
    • Barber Say Syndrome
    • SCARF Syndrome
    • Poland Syndrome

    Hypotonia

    Hypotonia is a state when one does not develop much muscle tone. This may not be very obvious when one is first born, and may only be noticed in a child's youth or when ones muscles do not develop strongly during puberty. This can effect both CTM and CTF people alike, however it is more common amongst CTM individuals, especially when it comes to intersex conditions.

    This is not an intersex-exclusive condition, however some intersex conditions this may occur from are listed below:

    This umbrella term was coined by Cryptocrew, specifically Angel, on May 6th of 2021.

    Athelia was named after British surgeon Alfred Poland, who first described the condition in the 1800s
