Nuvogender, or nuvo for short, is a gender where a gender neutral person's neutrality fades in and out to the point of being in a genderless/agenrine state, like in the water cycle. It is a sub label of evagender, and a category of the sub label evongender (evon). Nuvogender also falls under the neutrois umbrella.
The androgynous equivalent is mevogender (mevo).
History
The term was coined by tumblr user nonbiarrow on July 3rd 2021, as well as its flag.[1]
Flag
The black respresents the genderless/agenrine state as the person’s gender has faded away, the fading greens show gender neutrality evaporating up into the sky and then coming back up through the ground like in the water cycle.[1] An alternate flag was made by CandySkyez on January 18th, 2022.[2] The gradient represents the cycle of neutrality and genderlessness, with the green representing neutrality and the grey representing genderlessness.
