    The midbinary flag.

Midbinary or endobinary refers to any non-binary gender or experiences that references or is associated with one or both binary genders. It includes any genders that involve masculinity, femininity, or a combination of masculinity and femininity. It also includes genders that are similar to or related to male or female (but aren't completely male or female), as well as genders that are in between male and female. These genders exist within the context of the gender binary but are not strictly one or the other. It can be considered the counterpart of abinary.

Examples of midbinary genders include: androgyne, demigirl, boyflux, etc.

    History and Flag

Midbinary was coined by Tumblr user jemthecrystalgem, October 23rd, 2016.[1]

The midbinary flag was created by Tumblr user Beyond-Mogai-Pride-Flags, December 8th 2019.[2] The blue and pink are clarified/illuminated versions of a gender binary flag. The dark purplish colors and white have the same meanings as the nonbinary flag's purple and white, however, the purple-ish ones are more “binary-adjacent”.
