Melangender is a mixture of squashgender, genderfocus, gendersoup, and plaisgender. It is a subset of multigender. It can have multiple definitions, and one may identify with all of these definitions, or a multitude of them. Someone who is melangender may feel:

As if they have a more prominent gender at times rather than constantly being multiple genders at once. These prominent genders could also be a mixture of any of the genders: squashgender, genderfocus, gendersoup, and plaisgender.

As if certain things affect their prominent gender. This could range from certain activities they do, to hobbies, or anything else.
As if some of their multiple yet static genders are ‘blurred’ in a sense, or mashed together; however, there is still a distinction between some of their labels.
Like their multiple gender labels have been ‘squashed’ together but are still able to distinguish their multiple labels.

The aligned counterparts of melangender are mefangender (feminine-aligned), memangender (masculine-aligned), menangender (neutral-aligned), mexangender (xenine-aligned) and mebangender (androgynous-aligned).
