Menangender is a subset of melangender and multigender. It can have multiple definitions, and one may identify with all of these definitions, or a multitude of them. Someone who is menangender may feel:
- As if they have a prominent gender that is on the niaspec.
- Like when they do things that society deems as ’gender neutral,’ their gender is affected. This could range from certain hobbies, to activities, or anything else.
- As if some of their multiple yet static genders are ‘blurred’ or ‘blurry’ in a sense, or even mashed together; however, there is still a distinction between some of their labels and this distinction is always niaspec.
- Like their multiple gender labels have been ‘squashed’ together but are still able to distinguish their multiple labels, which is somewhere on the niaspec.
History
The term was coined by Reddit user u/hiitsyaz on May 5, 2021. The name for menangender has the same origin of melangender; however, the ‘l’ in melan- has been altered to a ‘n’ to show that this is a neutral aligned gender.
Flag
The flag was created by Reddit user u/hiitsyaz on May 12, 2021. The flag is a mixture of the colors within the flags for the terms which make up melangender, as well as the neutral flag and the niaspec flag (with a few shade alterations).
