    ==Welcome to the LGBTA Wiki==
    This wikia is meant to be a resource of members of the LGBTA+ community, people who are questioning, or anyone who's curious. Specifically this wikia is meant to explain identities that are often unknown or unheard of, and therefore have very little information about them elsewhere online. It's also meant to be a full resource, explaining everything this is to know know about any given identity, which can sometimes be hard to find as information can be scattered all across the internet.

    * No resources backing up the provided information
    Despite the fact that the home page of this wikia is often one of the most viewed pages it was always kind of bare bones and boring. It was intended to just be a placeholder but I never got around to properly designing it. That is no longer. The main page is now more streamlined; it has two columns to make it look nicer, and I added important links like the new page guidelines. There is also a popular page tab and an article of the week tab. These two tabs will be updated every week.

    Welcome to the LGBTQIA+ Wiki!

    The LGBTQIA+ Wiki is a resource of LGBTQIA+ terminology and labels used by various queer communities, as well as the questioning and/or curious. The wiki is designed to be a helpful resource for explaining identities that are often unknown, unheard of, or difficult to find information for.

    LGBTA stands for lesbiangaybisexual, transgender, and asexual/aromantic/agender. It's an adaptation of the initialism LGBT, which originated in the 1990s. It may be used to refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual, non-heteroromantic, non-cisgender, non-allosexual, and/or non-alloromantic. Some popular variants include LGBTQ, LGBTIA, LGBTQA, or LGBTIAQ. The Q stands for questioning/queer, and the I stands for intersex. Other variations include LGBT+ or LGBTA+, which is used to encompass the full spectrums of sexuality and gender.
