This wikia is meant to be a resource of members of the LGBTA+ community, people who or questioning, or anyone who's curious. This wikia is specifically meant to explain identities that are often unknown or unheard of, and therefore have very little information about them elsewhere online.
The LGBTQIA+ Wiki is a resource of LGBTQIA+ terminology and labels used by various queer communities, as well as the questioning and/or curious. The wiki is designed to be a helpful resource for explaining identities that are often unknown, unheard of, or difficult to find information for.

Another label similar to LGBTA is GSRM, which stands for gender, sexuality, and romantic orientation minorities. Just like LGBTA+, GSRM is used to umbrella a larger spectrum of people.

There is a poll regarding how negative comments should be dealt with on this wiki in future. You can find the poll [https://lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/User_blog:Chaoticcylinder/Regarding_Negative_Comments here] (it might not show up properly on mobile). If you use this wiki often you're encouraged to take the time to answer this poll, it should only take a minute. This poll will be up until at least November 20th, but may be up longer depending on the number of responses.

    Welcome to the LGBTQIA+ Wiki!

The LGBTQIA+ Wiki is a resource of LGBTQIA+ terminology and labels used by various queer communities, as well as the questioning and/or curious. The wiki is designed to be a helpful resource for explaining identities that are often unknown, unheard of, or difficult to find information for.

LGBTA stands for lesbiangaybisexual, transgender, and asexual/aromantic/agender. It's an adaptation of the initialism LGBT, which originated in the 1990s. It may be used to refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual, non-heteroromantic, non-cisgender, non-allosexual, and/or non-alloromantic. Some popular variants include LGBTQ, LGBTIA, LGBTQA, or LGBTIAQ. The Q stands for questioning/queer, and the I stands for intersex. Other variations include LGBT+ or LGBTA+, which is used to encompass the full spectrums of sexuality and gender.
