Hemi-Pansexual also known as Media-Pansexual, is term for pansexual individuals who may experience less attractions to one or more genders they are attracted to. Although, hemi-pansexuals individuals may or may not be willing to have feelings or relationships for, and might have visualized themselves in a relationship with, individuals of that/those gender(s). However, one doesn't have to experience these feelings to be hemi-pansexual.
Reasons as to why someone may identity as hemi-pansexual may or may not be fear, discomfort, or any other feeling that may get the individual to be hesitant to be in a relationship with/have feelings for said gender(s). Said fears/discomfort varies from person to person, along with it might not be the primary reason as to why, possible causes can be from home environment to dysphoria or trauma. However, one can be hemi-pansexual without any of these being a reason for that.
Other reason as someone can identity as hemi-pansexual can be for labels/terms, not everyone is comfortable with labels such as, "pan with a preference," "panromantic/omniromantic", "omnisexual", etc.
This term is inclusive and could be used as alternative to "Pan with a preference,” or “Pancurious.” This term can combined with any other if wanted by the individual.
The bisexual counterpart is hemi-bisexual.

Hemi-Pansexual was coined on the 11th of June, 2021, by discord and FANDOM user Musephile.
