    History

The term was coined by Tumblr user nonbiarrow on July 3rd, 2021, as well as its flag.[1] The five subgenders were coined by the same user on July 3rd, 2021, as well as their flags.[2]

    Flag

The flag was created by the same user on the same date. The black respresents the genderless/agenrine state as the individual’s gender has faded away, and the fading blues show water evaporating up into the sky and then coming back up through the ground like in the water cycle. An alternate flag was created by CandySkyez on January 18th, 2022. It represents the fading of various identities into each other.

    Etymology

"Eva-" comes from the word "evaporate".
