'''Binaflux''' (or '''binafluxgender''') is a term used to describe people who are male, female, and agender. A binaflux person shifts between male and female, meaning they might feel fully male, fully female, partly male, partly female, or equally male and female. At the same time, their feeling of genderlessness fluctuates in intensity, meaning they can feel gendered, genderless, or anywhere in between. The fluctuating feeling of gender is entirely separate and doesn't affect one's binary gender(s). |

Binaflux (or binafluxgender) is a term used to describe people who are male, female, and agender. At the same time, their feeling of genderlessness fluctuates in intensity, meaning they can feel gendered, genderless, or anywhere in between. The fluctuating feeling of gender is entirely separate and doesn't affect one's binary gender(s).
This could present as any of the following examples:
- Allogender man or woman
- Allogender demiboy or demigirl
- Allogender male-female or androgyne
- Libraboy or libragirl
- Paraboy or paragirl
- Agender male-female or androgyne
- Agender demiboy or demigirl
- Agender man or woman
Binaflux vs. Other Identities
Binaflux is similar to other multigender and genderflux identities; however, there are important differences that require its distinction. For example, trigenderflux is when someone has three genders that all fluctuate. Meanwhile, binaflux involves three genders, with only one of them fluctuating in intensity. Another example would include demiflux, where someone has one static gender and one fluctuating gender, but binaflux people don't have a static gender at all.
History
The term was coined by user Zhaorin on June 12, 2021. The flags were created on the same day.[1]
Flag
The binaflux flag has seven stripes. There are three blue stripes of different values, three pink stripes of different values, and a light purple stripe. The blue stripes represent masculinity, men, and man-aligned genders. The pink stripes represent femininity, women, and woman-aligned genders. The purple stripe represents androgyny and androgynous genders.
A circular portion of the flag has been desaturated into greyscale. This is to represent being agender, a partial gender, or in between. Alternatively, it represents a fluctuating lack of gender.
The meanings are the same for the second flag, but the circular portion is now saturated while the rest of the flag is in greyscale.
Etymology
The prefix 'bina-' is a combination of 'bin-' from binary and 'a-' from agender. The suffix '-flux' is short for fluctuating. It is a suffix that is used for orientations that change or fluctuate in intensity.
