Arretaroace is the combination of arretaromantic and arretasexual. An arretaroace individual feels sexual and romantic attraction, or stronger sexual and romantic attraction, to a person who gives them attention. If another person gives this individual new attention or more attention, the individuals attraction to the previous person may fade or dull, and they will become more attracted to the new person. If nobody is giving said individual consistent/constant attention, their attraction will fade completely, or may weakly remain until a person gives them attention again. This identity could have been caused by trauma such as neglect, but it is not exclusive to people with trauma.

Arretaroace was coined along with arretaromantic and arretasexual by FANDOM user MentallyUnstableQueer on January 27th, 2020 to describe his own feelings.[1]
