Anesian is a term which describes someone who deep down knows their exact labels, but feels more comfortable using a different, usually more broad, label. This could be done for various reasons, such as wanting to avoid confusion, avoid being questioned, not being comfortable with getting specific and so on.
The purpose of the Anesian term is to be inclusive to those who identify with multiple anesi- labels at the same time or feel like Anesisexual/Anesigender doesn't quite fit their experiences. For example, Anesisensual individuals might not feel included under the sexual/gender labels. Anesian also includes all tertiary attraction, identities on the polyamorous spectrum, those who use multiple pronouns and so on.
Examples of this include:
- A transfeminine non-binary aroace panromantic person stating they are a pan trans woman.
- A person who identifies with multiple xenogenders and anthrogenders (for example, Miaspec and Mingender) but states that they are a xenic boy.
- A girlflux eclipsic individual who states they are both a girl and a lesbian.
- A person who uses a lot of a-spec labels might call themselves aroace.
- A person plurian and monoflexible person who states that they are polyamorous.
- Someone who defaults to their AGAB when asked about their gender due to being unsure, unlabelled and/or closeted.
- A person who uses multiple neopronoun and exipronoun sets only revealing one exipronoun they use.
