Monoflexible is a term for individuals who mainly seek out a monogamous relationship, but are willing to experiment with a polyamorous relationship due to interest or questioning. Unlike an identity such as ambiamorous, monoflexible people have an established preference for monogamous relationships, however are still open to polyamourous relationships.
The opposite of monoflexible would be polyflexible.
Monoflexible may also be used to describe someone who is normally attracted to a single gender (monosexual), but has rare tendencies to be attracted other genders. In this usage of the word it is an umbrella term for terms like heteroflexible, homoflexible, gyneflexible, etc.
History
The term monoflexible appears to have been coined by Skyspook at an unknown point in order to describe experiences of others. The term appear to have been in use since at least October 7, 2011.[1]
The monosexual definition of the word appears to have been coined by arco-pluris on March 10, 2018.[2]

The monoflexible flag was created by Ms. Carley Noel on or before February 12th of 2021. It is a combination of the monogamy and polyamory flags, in similar vein to other -flexible flags.
