Hello! We're The Rats in a Trenchcoat system. We have DID and we are predominantly traumagenic and protogenic. We currently have no plans to integrate, as we feel quite comfortable as a system, and we can function well together as we are. Here's just some general information to know about us in general before reading further!

Some of us view each other as family, but most of us see one another as roommates that are unrelated to each other

Aside from the alters listed here who are in our main system, we have a group of alters locked in a place called The Basement. They may or may not eventually come up from The Basement and join the main system.
We also have quite a few fragments floating around here and there, however they tend to remain in The Basement where they can not access the front.
We are not keeping them there. There is another headmate who is holding them there, and we can not force them to stop. They are trying to protect us by keeping other headmates in The Basement, and we can not go back down there without that headmates will, which they do not want us to do.

Boundaries
Do not ask us about our triggers unless we explicitly say it is okay. We are formed exclusively from trauma, and discussion of our triggers can cause flashbacks, panic attacks, and dissociation.
Do not interact with us if you are currently age regressed, or are a system little, particularly if you use "baby talk" (ex: speaking wike dis). We aren't against you, but childlike behaviors can be triggering for us in some cases, and we'd prefer not to interact with someone at the mental age of a child.
Use the term "headmate" for us instead of "alter". While we may reclaim the term alter and use it for ourselves, we are not comfortable with other people calling us "alters" and would prefer others call us headmates.

Diagnosis status
We will not be sharing our diagnosis status on any of our disorders or neurodivergencies. This is for both our safety, and to avoid being fakeclaimed. Regardless of what our diagnosis status is, we feel unsafe sharing it, and ask that you please respect that boundary.
