    The trans alignment system flag.

The trans alignment system is a system made for anyone who identifies as transgender. This encompasses those who are transfeminine, transmasculine, transneutral, and more. This could also be considered as a system for gender non-conforming and pronoun non-conforming transgender folks who don’t follow the stereotypes of their gender(s).

This can also be an umbrella term for all genders that are partially transgender (eg. demiboy, demigender), and identify with two or more labels, although transgender folk who identify as fully transgender and have another identity, pronouns, and/or presentation can use these terms.

    Terms

    Transmasculine

These terms can be an umbrella for all transmasculine folk who, but not limited to: don’t exclusively use he/him or masculine pronouns, aren’t exclusively masculine in presentation, don’t fall into the stereotype of masculinity, and don’t exclusively identify with a masculine gender.

    Transfeminine

These terms can be an umbrella for all transfeminine folk who, but not limited to: don’t exclusively use she/her or feminine pronouns, aren’t exclusively feminine in presentation, don’t fall into the stereotype of femininity, and don’t exclusively identify with a feminine gender.

    • Transmirl: A transfeminine/trans girl who identify as both transgender and masculine.
    • Translinirl: A transfeminine/trans girl who identify as both transgender and androgynous.

    Transneutral

These terms can be an umbrella for all transneutral folk who, but not limited to: don’t exclusively use they/them or neutral pronouns, aren’t exclusively neutral in presentation, don’t fall into the stereotype of neutrality, and don’t exclusively identify with a neutral gender.

    • Transmifitral: A transneutral individual who identifies as transgender and masculine/feminine, but separately.
    • Translintral: A transneutral individual who identifies as both transgender and androgynous.
    • Transfintral: A transneutral individual who identifies as both transgender and feminine.

    History

Transfinoy, transmirl, transmifitral, and translintral were coined by Tumblr user Queerness-lover on July 6, 2021. X also made the flags on the same day.[1][2][3]

Later on, the other terms were coined by an anonymous Wiki user on September 11, 2021. The trans alignment flag was also created on this date.

    Flags

The transgender alignment flag has eleven stripes. Blue and pink represent AGAB and femininity/masculinity, purple represents androgyny, yellow represents neutrality, and orange represents a combination of some transgender terms. The white lines represent non-binary terms and AGIN alignment. The symbol contains the basic transgender symbol, but it has been combined with the neutrois and non-binary symbols as well.

    Etymology

The terms are all a combination of transgender and the alignment one identifies with. For example, transfinoy is a combination of "transgender," "FIN," and "boy."
