Mispronominal is a term describing individuals who feel comfortable with a set of pronouns when certain folkel refer to them as such, but when other individuals refer to them with these pronouns it feels uncomfortable or may even spark a feeling of dysphoria. An example can be how maybe when the mispronominal individual's sibling uses he/him its okay, but when other folkel refer to them as he/him it's uncomfortable.
Mispronominal individuals may feel comfortable with some using a certain set of pronouns for them that others can't without discomfort because of a close emotional bond with them, the sound of their voice while saying the pronouns, or for unspecified/unidentifiable reasons.
Mispronominal individuals may also be Multipronominal, and will have at least one set of pronouns that is comfortable at all times, if not more.
History
This term was coined by a FANDOM user QBpotato on December 24, 2021. They made the term regarding their own experience with pronouns and gender.
