    The male flag by queerflagswithbenton.

Man, also known as Male, Guy, or Boy (diminutive) is a gender which is part of the gender binary. It is associated with masculinity and a connection to boyhood or male-ness (as defined in one's society). In includes both cisgender and transgender men. Some non-binary people may have a partial connection to being a man or male-ness, in which case they may be call man-aligned or miaspec.

Man is a term used for adults, while boy is used for children. Guy is used a casual word for men, typically younger men. Male is also sometimes used as a synonym for man, however "male" can also be used to denote sex traits, so can sometimes be used to exclude trans men. Male is also typically considered too clinical for most cases. The word wergender was created to encompass all the various words.

People who are assigned male at birth are often raised with the expectation that they will identify as men, although is not always to case. Identifying as a man is often associated with a masculine gender expression and gender role, however not all men present masculinely, and not all people who present masculinely are men.
