Magicfoxgender was first mentioned on a post in discussions on Fandom User Rowan Wisteria’s account, more specifically by its headmate Lilian, on August 23, 2021[1]. Lilian then defined the term on August 24, 2021[2].

The flag was created by Rowan Wisteria with Lilian’s help. The dark orange represents fox aesthetics, the bright orange represents foxes, the light blue represents sparkles, the pink represents magic, and the purple represents magic aesthetics.
