Luminian refers to someone who is wlw, wlm, wlnb, nblw, nblm, and nblnb, meaning someone who is non-binary and a women and is attracted to men, women, and non-binary individuals.
Being "non-binary and a woman" can include:
- individuals who are genderfluid, and are sometimes non-binary and sometimes women.
- Bigender or multigender individuals who are women or woman aligned and non-binary at the same time.
- Feminine aligned non-binary individuals who feels connected to womanhood as well as being non-binary.
Luminian is an umbrella term (like diamoric), though it can also be used as an identity by itself.
History
The term luminian was coined by Tumblr user Medic-crow around May 13, 2018[1], inspired by opalian, spinelian, and iridian. Luminian is based on the word luminous, based on the root words of iridian (iridescent) and opalian (opalescent).
Flag
The flag was designed by the user Xeno-aligned on May 14, 2018[2], it was based off the iridian, opalian, pearlian and spinelian flags. The purple represents wlm, pink represents wlw, white represents nblnb, green represents nblw and blue represents nblm.
