    Welcome to the LGBTA Wiki!

The LGBTA+ Wiki is a resource of LGBTA+ terminology and labels used by various queer communities, as well as the questioning and/or curious. The wiki is designed to be a helpful resource for explaining identities that are often unknown, unheard of, or difficult to find information for. This site is categorized as an educational wiki. If you are having issues accessing the site from work or school, please inform our staff and we will attempt to change the categorization for the given site-blocking product.

LGBTA stands for lesbiangaybisexual, transgender, and asexual/aromantic/agender. It's an adaptation of the initialism LGBT, which originated in the 1990s. It may be used to refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual, non-heteroromantic, and/or non-cisgender. Some popular variants include LGBTQ, LGBTIA, LGBTQA, or LGBTIAQ. The Q stands for questioning/queer, and the I stands for intersex. Other variations include LGBT+ or LGBTA+, which is used to encompass the full spectrums of sexuality and gender.

    Helping Out

You can help out by creating an article for an identity that doesn't have a page. Before you make a new article, it's recommended that you read the Creating and Editing guide.

If you want to help out but don't know where to start, you can help by adding relevant information to one of our stub articles. Information like who coined the term, when it was coined, who created the flag and when, as well as more information about the identity itself is always appreciated. We also always have various housekeeping projects listed on the Discord and welcome anyone to help contribute!

For further information on term coining, see this article. For flags, see this.
