Juvelic Orientations are a category of orientations that are based on one's gender and who they attracted to. For example, all the orientations in the gender-loving-gender format are juvelic because they tell one's gender and who one is attracted to. However not all juvelic orientations are in the gender-loving-gender format, for example diamoric, feminamoric, gai, marsic, strayt, ultramoric, venusic, and viramoric are all examples of juvelic orientations that don't use the glg system.
Juvelic orientations most commonly refer to people who are men, women, or non-binary (or some combination of those three), however any gender can be used in describing a juvelic orientation, including abinary genders such as neutrois, agender, and xenogenders. Juvelic orientations can also be use be a-spec individuals, as juvelic orientations can be used to refers to sexual orientation, romantic orientation, or any tertiary attractions one has.
History
Juvelic was coined by Twilightvelvet on Wordpress on June 4, 2018[1]. They later explained their intentions behind the term on their Tumblr blog on August 13, 2018[2].
