Interpretarian is a mutogender and umbrella term in which someone's gender is interpreted differently by another individual.[1] They may have their own interpretation of their own gender, but they also identify as whatever the other individual interprets them as.[1]
Examples include:
- Individual X identifies as a woman. Individual Y perceives X as a man. Individual X now identifies as a man.
- If individual X is with multiple folks with different perceptions, X may identify with all these genders, or may pick one.
- Individual X is with multiple folks with different perceptions, X may identify depending on which individual X is focusing on at that time, if multiple, X may identify as one or multiple identities.
- Individual X identifies as a demiboy. Individual Y perceives X as a woman. Individual X now identifies as a demiboy woman.
