Monointerpretarian

Monointerpretarian is a mutogender and subset of Interpretarian. It is defined as when someone's gender is perceived differently by multiple individuals, the individual identifies picks and only identifies with one of the genders. An individual who is Monointerpretarian may have an interpretation of their own gender.^[1]

Examples include:

-If individual X is female but is perceived by individual Z as male, perceived by individual Y as a demigirl, and perceived by individual W as agender, individual X only identifies with demigirl.

This term was coined by discord user Samnaderi#9023 on 10 June 2022.^[1] The name was suggested by discord user cherrybirb#7221.^[3] The first flag, made by user Four00am, was inspired by the monogender flag. The alternative flag was made by discord user cherrybirb#7221.^[2]

Etymology

The prefix mono- means one, only or single. Interpretarian is a play on 'Interpretation' and the suffix -ian, which means 'to belong to.'
