    The plato-repulsed flag

Plato-repulsed (aka plato-negative or plato-averse) is a term that is used most commonly by aplatonic and other apl-spec individuals to indicate that they find platonicism or platonic activities to be disgusting, revolting, or otherwise uncomfortable. For some people, they may be repulsed at the idea of being in a platonic relationship or engaging in platonic activities themselves, but are fine with platonic relationships that do not involve them. Other people may be repulsed by the idea of platonicism in general. For some people, plato-repulsion is only directed at explicitly platonic relationships; for other people, repulsion may extend to platonic acts or acts that may be interpreted as platonic. What qualifies as a "platonic act" can vary from person to person based upon culture, religion, and personal ideals. Some people may experience varying amounts of plato-repulsion.

Someone who is plato-repulsed may identity as apothiplatonic or ARCplatonic.

Not all aplatonics are plato-repulsed; they can be indifferent, ambivalent, or favorable towards platonicism. Likewise, not all plato-repulsed people are aplatonic. There is a small but present minority of people who are alloplatonic but are plato-repulsed. These people may identify as acoplatonic.

    Flag

The plato-repulsed flag was designed by Tumblr user arco-pluris on March 12, 2018. It is based on the sex-repulsed and romance-repulsed flags.[1]
