Demetic refers to the attraction to all people except those that are both masculine and male-aligned. It can also be described as attraction to feminine female-aligned people, feminine nonbinary-aligned people, feminine male-aligned people, masculine female-aligned people, masculine nonbinary-aligned people, neutral masculine-aligned people, neutral nonbinary-aligned people, and neutral female-aligned people. Similar terms include Uranic, Neptunic, Trixic, and Venusic.
History and Flag
The term was coined on August 17th, 2021 by Tumblr user JaidenRose[1] and a flag was designed by her on the same day.
A simplified version was made by Tumblr user CringEzra on August 19th, 2021 with only four stripes instead of the original eight.
Etymology
The root of Demetic lies in the name of the Greek goddess Demeter.
