    Etymology

    Contrandrog is a combination of the Latin words contra, meaning against, and androgynous, meaning a combination of masculine and feminine.

    The term and flag were created by wiki user honk4bees on June 5th, 2021. The purple stripes represent how contrandrog relates to androgyny, and the yellow stripes represent a distinction from androgyny. The gradient represents how these two elements mix with each other.
