Calypsian is a term or gender in the galactian alignment system that describes people who are androgynous or androgyne aligned.
The difference between Calypsian and Eclipsian is that Eclipsian is described as both being Solarian and Lunarian aligned, while Calypsian is a combination of both, making it something else entirely.

The shades of purple represents a mixture of masculinity and femininity, or for some maleness and femaleness, as they are a mix of red/pink and blue commonly in society. The circle is the symbol for the moon, as the term Calypsian is based on the Calypso moon.
