Beangender is a xenogender that has two different main definitions. The first definition is a xenogender that's related to the fruit, beans. It can be any kind of bean: pinto beans, kidney beans, black beans, lima beans, etc. It can be related to the taste of beans, how beans grow, a food with beans in them, or whatever the user feels that's related to beans. The second definition is the slang term "bean", usually used to describe someone who is soft, cute, cuddly, innocent, etc. Ones gender may feel soft or fluffy or cuddly.

The term was first coined on March 15, 2020 by user Meiko-is-shifting, and the flag was created by him as well.
The stripes of the flag are meant to represent the colors of beans. The alternate flag's colors are supposed to be pastel and cute.
