Arogender is a gender in which one is aromantic or aro-spec and their aroamticism are significantly connected. It can be any gender identity influenced by being aromantic or having an aro-spec identity. It could also mean someone whose aromanticism/aro-spec identity influences one's gender in a significant way. It can be used as a standalone gender label or in conjunction with others, for example one could be an arogender boy.
History
The term arogender was coined by Tumblr user Arokaladin on April 16, 2018 after the term was suggested by two anonymous asks[1].
Flag
The arogender flag was designed as a collaborative effort from Tumblr users Aroacearborvitae, Aromagni, and Arokaladin, and was posted on April 24, 2018. The color correspondences are as follows: green for aromanticism, at the top because of its importance to the gender, blue for masculinity, purple for non-binary people, pink for femininity, and white for a lack of gender, or agender people, white is also a color for the aromantic flag, is addition to green[2].
