    An alternative flag.

Apothialterous is a microlabel on the analterous spectrum. It means either being averse to the idea of engaging in alterous relationships and/or acts oneself, but being fine with others doing it, or being repulsed by the idea of alterousness in general.

Those who are apothialterous typically do not seek out alterous relationships.

One can be repulsed only by some (meroalterous) or all alterous acts. What counts as an alterous act may vary from person to person.

Other attractions' counterparts are: apothisexual, apothiromantic, apothiplatonic, apothisensual, apothiaesthetic and apothiqueerplatonic.

    History and Flag

Both flags were created by FANDOM user Artillery Bombardment on July 9th, 2021. Xe uploaded flags, coined the term and created a page on October 17th, 2021. She made the flags to match other apothi- orientations' flags. The blue stripe represents the alterous attraction, the red stripe represents repulsion, white stripes represent disconnection from the idea of alterousness and the black stripe and cross (or three black stripes) means the rejection of it.

    Etymology

The prefix apothi- comes from the Greek word apothisan, meaning repulsed.
