    The coer flag.

Coer (previously known as Copa) is one of the base metals from the alloy alignment system based on copper. It represents a gender that is, to some degree, non-binary in nature. It is described as being neither masculine or feminine but is not a neutral element (zin) or a lack of element (tian). How one expresses or experiences being non-binary is defined by them. A coer person can have any alignment or presentation.

    History

Coer was originally coin on December 1, 2018 by Hail, the original owner of the Tumblr blog lgbt-alchemy[1]. At the time it is was called known as copa and the plural form was copen. On December 19, 2019 the alloy alignment system was reworked by Tired, the new owner of the blog[2]. In this rework the name of the term was change to coer. It's unknown what the plural form of the new term would be.

The flag is based on the color of copper, and the symbol used is the alchemical symbol for Venus. It is the same as the female symbol, however this is entirely unrelated, as symbol was historically used to represent copper in alchemy.
