Zinniace

Zinniace is an identity on the asexual spectrum where one loses sexual attraction towards an individual after acting on it, whether only once or a few times. It is related to a few other amative orientations, particularly fraysexuality. It is distinct from this, however, as the zinniace identity is not related to how well one knows one's partner, or one's level of emotional connection. The loss of attraction also doesn't turn into disgust, so it is also distinct from feasexualiy. Nor is it hedonesexuality, as it is unrelated to the pleasurability of the initial sexual encounter. Zinniace is most similar to post rubor, but it is specific to sexual attraction and isn't necessarily related to a level of excitement since the initial encounter may lack excitement as a priority.

Some zinniace individuals may be polyeros, but this is not always the case. One may be entirely monoeros, monogamous, or monoamorous with sexual fidelity and still be zinniace.

The zinniace identity can be fluid, flux, or both. For example, a zinniafluid individual might eventually find a partner with whom they don't lose sexual attraction after acting on it. Likewise, a zenniaflux individual might have periods of feeling zinniasexual, or may regain sexual attraction to a partner after a significant amount of time has passed.

The romantic counterpart is zinniaro, and this can be extended to all eriattraction types. It may be combined with other orientations such as hetero-zinniace or demipan-zinniace. The zinniace identity is not exclusive to any group.

Etymology

The name is in reference to the zinnia flowering plant. Zinnias are annual plants, meaning they don't return after first year of planting, representing the loss of sexual attraction after a sexual encounter.
