Many flags have been proposed for viramory. The original flag was commonly used until recently, when others sought out to make their own viramoric flags. The general feeling of the original flag is that it did not represent in a clear way what being viramoric was and meant. The creator of this flag is unknown.

In a proposed new viramoric flag, for numerous reasons (the Mars symbol is used to symbolize men, the planet Mars is red, and the mythological roman god Mars is the god of war and bloodshed), shades of red are used to represent non-binary and/or genderqueer people's attraction to men. The dark red stripes are double the size of the light red stripe in the center, and the medium red stripes are 1.5x the size of the light red stripe. The triangle displays the non-binary flag, and in the second image, there are the non-binary and the man gender symbols interlocked.

Viramoric is a diamoric orientation that refers to non-binary and/or genderqueer individuals who are exclusively or primarily attracted to men.

The term was created because most other ways to say that one is attracted to men involve the assumption of one's gender. For example, a straight individual attracted to men is typically a woman. A gay individual attracted to men is typically a man. Although some non-binary individuals have also adopted this framing of their orientation, some non-binary individuals are uncomfortable with this, and found the term viramoric useful for specifying a non-binary individual attracted to men.

The femaric counterpart to viramoric is feminamoric. The enboric counterpart is ceteramoric. A similar term to is androsexual, though some individuals are uncomfortable identifying with this term as it can have transphobic implications.

    History

The first usage of the term, alongside feminamoric, was in an anonymous tumblr ask[1] to Tumblr user Marlowelune in May 12, 2017. A follow up definition[2] also sent anonymously was posted on the same day.

The term is styled after diamoric and comes from Latin vir mean "man" and amor meaning "love".

    Flag

Many flags have been proposed for viramoric. The original and most commonly used flag, designed by Milith Rusignuolo, has 5 stripes: maroon, white, blue, white, olive green. It was based off of the Diamoric and Genderqueer flags, as well as the traditional female and male colours.[3][4]

In several proposed viramoric flag shades of red are used to represent non-binary and genderqueer individual's attraction to men for numerous reasons (the Mars symbol is used to symbolize men, the planet Mars is red, and the mythological roman god Mars is the god of war and bloodshed).

One flag was made by Tumblr user snozzzz under the group sideblog lgbtqa-pride-icons.[5] The flag has 5 stripes. The yellow stands for non-binary identities, the white stands for diversity, the green stands for positivity, the blue stands for attraction to men, and the purple stands for love.

Another flag that has been proposed is one made by Tumblr user viramoric.[6] It is not very commonly used, and the general feeling is that it is too simplistic. The red in the flag stands for the attraction to men, as red is the color of Mars. The non-binary and male symbols are interlocked.

One flag that has been created for viramoric has a red banner on the side of the non-binary flag. This flag was created in a discord server and four different Tumblr accounts are cited on the original post: demisexual-yuri, feuillyadeux, bizexuals, and justfolieadoit.[7] On the right side is the non-binary flag. The non-binary colors dominate the flag as the individual’s non-binary-ness is central to the attraction and is what makes the attraction inherently non-straight. The red stripes at the side represent men.
