    The varioriented aroace flag.

Varioriented aroace (shortened to variaroace) refers to someone who is on the aromantic and asexual spectrums, but is not strictly aromantic and asexual. Varioriented refers to someone who's sexual and romantic orientation do not match. Typically people who are strictly aroace are perioriented, however people who are not strictly aromantic and asexual may identify as aroace, and not have their orientations match. For example, someone could be demiromantic and asexual, or someone may be frayromantic greyasexual. All of these people can be consider aroace but they are not perioriented. People who do not identify with either a romantic orientation or a sexual orientation can also use the term.

    Flag

The term variorented aroace was coined by Tumblr user Varioriented-pride on April 10, 2019[1]. The flag was created in the same post. The blue stripe comes from the oriented aroace flag, used to represent shared aroace-ness. Grey represents the grey area in romantic and asexual orientations. Light yellow comes from the aromantic allosexual flag. Red comes from the alloromantic asexual flag.
