- Her age being infinite is not the same as being ageless; when people died (in her old universe), their souls would combine with hers to become one, and this has affected the way they see age. They say that they are infinitely aged for this reason ("being simultaneously an infant and elder, a child and adult" is how they described it to me/Mercury), but in headspace, she physically presents as around 28 years old.

More specifically, Darya was friends with Chiyoko, and Mercury was friends with Gray. (Technically we were all friends with each other, but those are mainly who's met who from both systems.)
