Switchgender is a fluid gender describing someone whose gender switches between two genders, but never going in between. For example, those two genders could be female and non-binary, but those are the only genders one experiences and one never experiences genders "in between" those two (for example, demigirl, paragirl, etc.). This gender is unique because the "switches" one experiences are usually fast and abrupt, without a smooth transition between genders like a genderfluid individual may experience.

This term was coined on May 18, 2021 by FANDOM user Ariathatsme. The flag was designed by the same person on the same date and the meaning goes as follows: blue for fluidity, green and red representing two distinct genders one may experience, white representing connection between the two, and yellow representing inclusivity across the entire gender spectrum.
