Soloamory or Sologamy is a form of self-love found in autosexual/autoromantic individuals. It is a form of self-amory/gamy, and may involve having a relationship with oneself or marrying oneself. A sologamous individual may participate in self-marriage performatively or culturally, while celebrating singledom.[1] This may be related to self-partnering, however it is not a requirement.[2]
History
It is unknown when the term was coined, however, its oldest reference is in the Urban dictionary on February 18th of 2013.[3]
Flag
The soloamorous flag was coined on July 3rd, 2018 by an anonymous submission to the Tumblr blog beyond-mogai-pride-flags. It has no confirmed meaning.
