Saturnian (also known as Merlunettian) is a non-binary xenogender in the celestial gender system. It is defined as someone who is lunettian and mercurian. One could be both at the same time or they might be fluid between the two. They may feel different amounts of each gender at different times.
History
The term saturnian was coined by the Tumblr blog Uncommongenders in November 2, 2017[1]. However when coined the term originally referred to a gender that is "linked to both soft, celestial, masculine and feminine energy." This definition was very similar to Juparettian, however these terms were not combined. The confusion caused by having many identities overlap, and the fact that not all the gender options were coined lead to the Tumblr user System-Lgbt reworking the system, to make it more consistent[2]. The original definition of saturian is now venusian under System-Lgbt's rework.
Flag
The original flag was posted by the user Juparian on November 7, 2017[3]. The color pallet was requested by Uncommongenders, the coiner of the term. Both the old and new flag were based on the colors of Saturn.
