Recugender is a term where you identify with your assigned gender at birth, but you refuse to identify as cisgender. The word "recu" comes from the Latin word "recuso," which means "to refuse"
Controversy with the term
People who genuinely identify with this term are not bad people and should not be castigated. However, the term could be seen as an excuse to be included into the community itself, or to say slurs that typically oppress the trans community.
