    The quoiromantic flag.

Quoiromantic (also called WTFromantic or whatromantic) is a romantic orientation on the aromantic spectrum. Quoiromantic can have many different meanings, and is an umbrella term for anyone who doesn't quite understand their romantic orientation. Some definitions of quoiromantic include:

    • Someone who can't tell the difference between platonic and romantic attraction.
    • Someone who are unsure if they experience romantic attraction or not.
    • Someone who is unable to understand or define romantic attraction.
    • Someone who disidentifies with the concept of romantic attraction, as a social construct or as not applicable to themself.
    • Those who are struggling to find another term that fits them.

    Origin

The quoi flag proposed by Epochryphal, the creator of the term.

The term quoiromantic was first coined by Tumblr user Epochryphal in 2012[1]. They defines quoiromantic as being for those who are "actively disidentified" or are feeling like other orientations are "inaccessible, inapplicable, non-sensical"[2].

    Etymology

The prefix quoi- is taken from the French word for what.
