Procarnal is a term under the ARCsexual umbrella. It is a term that describes sex-favorable asexual individuals, as well as a state in which normally sex averse, repulsed, or conflicted asexual people feel favorable towards sex. People identifying with this label as an orientation may seek out sexual relationships, may participate is sexual activities, and are not averse to sexuality.

Procarnal is similar to cupiosexual. Entering into a procarnal state is a potential part of the ARCflux experience.

    History and flag

The term was coined on December 14, 2014 by the ARC Resources tumblr.[1] The flag was made by wiki user honk4bees on June 23rd, 2021, with the shades of pink representing the favorable feelings towards sex, the purple stripe representing a connection to asexuality, and the teal stripes representing how the aforementioned favorable feelings may be fluctuating or outside of someone's standard experiences. An alternate procarnal flag was made by ElderflowerJuice on September 3rd, 2021. It uses the current procarnal flag's colors and is represented by a symbol of Dionysus.
