    The polyplatonic flag.

Polyplatonic, or polyqueerplatonic, is a form of non-monogamous relationship were one is capable of having queerplatonic relationship or other close platonic relationships with multiple people at once. Polyplatonic is identity is similar to polyamory but instead of having romantic or relationships with the other people involved, it's queerplatonic relationships.

This label is commonly used by aro-spec people or others who are in or desire a QPR. While polyamory isn't inherently a romantic label polyplatonic can be useful as a way to say one is looking for a non-romantic polyamorous relationship.

Polyplatonic may also be used as the platonic equivalent to polysexual. Under this definition one can be platonically attracted to many, but not necessarily all, genders.

At least 3 different flags have been proposed for polyplatonic:

The creator of the original flag is unknown, though it has been used since at least August 29, 2015.[1] Green was chosen as the opposite of red which is a romantic color, and purple was chosen to be the opposite of the yellow pi symbol on the polyamory flag. The other colors do not have meanings and were chosen to resemble the original polyamorous flag.

On May 22nd, 2021, Tumblr user Oz (@i-love-my-trans-body) posted a blog with two redesigns of the polyplatonic flag using the polyamorous infinity heart design, created by Reddit user Sofia (u/opensofias) who originally used it for a redesign of the polyamorous flag.[2][3] The first redesign features the same color pattern as the original flag, with the only change being made is the pi symbol being replaced with the infinity heart symbol. In the second redesign, the colours were changed to yellow, pink, and white with a black infinity heart symbol. The yellow represents platonic attraction and relationships, both the yellow and pink represent queerplatonic attraction and relationships, the white represents fluidity and vastness of experiences, and the black represents stability and shared experiences.

On July 25th, 2021, Tumblr user Dexter (via @neopronouns) created a blog for a redesign of the polyplatonic flag.[4] The colours of the flag were changed to purple, teal, and light yellow while the pi symbol was replaced with the polyamory infinity heart symbol with a pink heart being overlapped with a yellow infinity symbol. The purple represents queerness (if the flag user does identify as queer/queerplatonic) and devotion, teal represents communication and infinity/infinite possibilities, while light yellow represents queerplatonic/quasiplatonic love and/or affection and joy. No meanings for the colors of the symbol was given.
