Polyaffectionacy is a term some aromantic people use instead of polyamorous.[1] It refers to having or wanting multiple partners in affection, but not necessarily romantic affection. It can refer to non-romantic partners, friends, siblings, etc. It’s rarely used as an “identity” descriptor, because most people have multiple intimate relationships in their lives, though it can be if desired. It recognizes and opens the conversation about all kinds of intimacy in all kinds of relationships.
