The Palette System of non-binary gender presentation is a way to describe the way non-binary people present without having to use the binary language like "masculine" or "woman-aligned". It is similar to the lesbian terms "butch" and "femme".

The system was designed to be used along side the galactian alignment system, but it can be used by any non-binary person.

A non-binary person's presentation has no relation to their actual gender.

The palette system is named such because all of the names of alignments are derived from the names of colors.

    Alignments

A visual representation of the pallet system.
    • Cerul- when one’s presentation is purely feminine.
    • Pewt- when one’s presentation is purely androgynous.
    • Vermil- when one’s presentation is purely masculine.
    • Virid- when one’s presentation is not masculine, feminine, or androgynous.

    Mixed Alignments

    • Cinnab- when one’s presentation is a mix of masculine and androgynous.
    • Fuchs- when one’s presentation is a mix of masculine and feminine.
    • Indig- when one’s presentation is a mix of masculine, feminine, and androgynous.
    • Laven- when one’s presentation is a mix of feminine and androgynous.

    History

The palette system was designed by Tumblr user Elfiot, January 2018.[1]
