Oviraptogender is a microlabel of dinogender in which someone feels an extremely strong connection to the dinosaur species Oviraptor philoceratops, better known as Oviraptors. Oviraptogender people may strongly identify with Oviraptors or incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. It was made with Oviraptor kin in mind, but anyone can identify as oviraptogender. It is a faunagender and may or may not be a kingender.

Oviraptogender can be used as a modifier, such as oviboy, ovigirl, or ovienby.

Etymology

Oviraptor means "egg seizer" or "egg thief" in Latin. The word philoceratops in the species' full Latin name refers to a preference for a certain type of egg.

History and Flag

Oviraptogender was coined by FANDOM user Trashwoof on January 11, 2021. The flags were coined by FANDOM user Clear.Skyes on January 27, 2021. The colors of the flags represent color drawings that have been done by archeologists to theorize what the dinosaur looked like when alive.
